Located in Langon, the Domaine de Respide is one of the oldest wine chateaux in the Graves appellation. Pierre Bonnet acquired the château in 1952. His grandson, Franck, now manages the estate. Out of respect for the environment, the vines are partially grassed and the estate retains uncultivated areas near watercourses in order to preserve the families of tits and wagtails, insectivores essential for the development of the vine.

Winemaking

Gravelly sandy soil. Vinification in thermo-regulated vats.

Tasting notes

Pretty intense garnet color with dark reflections a fine and elegant nose with aromas of black fruits and spices finally a mouth with a greedy attack all in fruit. The finish is elegant with supple and round tannins, full of fruit and spices.

Pairing recommendation

Ideal with meats and cheeses of character.
