Casa Vinicola Antonutti is a winery in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The four generations of the Antonutti family have been growing grapes in the heart of the Grave del Friuli for just over a hundred years. The winery now owns about fifty hectares of vineyards. The rivers Meduna, Cellina and Taglimento have brought large amounts of dolomite limestone into the area, and the area itself is protected from northerly winds, but benefits from its proximity to the sea. Antonutti grape grows in a place called Barbeano, where the soil is pebbled. The difference between day and night temperatures is large, so the grapes can be harvested later when they are already full of aromas.

Harvesting is carried out when the berries reach optimal ripeness, at the winery the fruits are subjected to soft pressing. Maceration is carried out at low temperature. Fermentation with specially selected yeast takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is aged in the same tanks for some time. Then the wine is bottled and left to mature for several months in the cellars of the winery. Wine storage potential is at least 3-4 years.

Tasting notes

Wine of deep straw-yellow color with golden reflections. In the aroma of wine you can distinguish notes of citrus fruits, gooseberries, almonds, blackcurrant leaves and wildflowers. Crispy acidity in the taste of the wine forms its structure. Characteristic mineral and herbal notes in its bouquet are complemented by notes of citrus zest, yellow apple and nuts.

Serving temperature: 10° — 12°C

Pairing recommendation

The wine is a wonderful aperitif, ideal with white meat, poultry, seafood/shellfish and grilled vegetables.
