Casa Vinicola Antonutti is a winery in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The four generations of the Antonutti family have been growing grapes in the heart of the Grave del Friuli for just over a hundred years. The winery now owns about fifty hectares of vineyards. The rivers Meduna, Cellina and Taglimento have brought large amounts of dolomite limestone into the area, and the area itself is protected from northerly winds, but benefits from its proximity to the sea. Antonutti grape grows in a place called Barbeano, where the soil is pebbled. The difference between day and night temperatures is large, so the grapes can be harvested later when they are already full of aromas.
Pebbly plain with a fraction of red clay of morainic origin, Middle Friuli. Guyot trained vines with a plant density of 4500 vines and 90/100 q of grapes per hectare. Soft pressing of the grapes. Fermented and aged in steel tanks and partially in tonneaux. After bottling, the wine matures for some time in the bottles.
Ruby in color, the taste is harmonious, with a silky texture against which halftone ripe berries and light fruity acidity are revealed. Delicate and fresh, with a pleasant berry aroma dominated by notes of raspberries and strawberries, accents of blackberries. Ruby red with delicately shaded edges. It opens with notes of small red fruits and closes with sensations of sweet spices. The gustative persistence is excellent.
