Murua sits on a small hill just outside the town of Elciego, an area historically dedicated to crafting top quality estate wines. The vineyards are divided into 8 plots, mainly planted with red grape varietals (Tempranillo, Grenache, Graciano and Mazuelo). In order to achieve the best possible expression of the different soils in the estate, special attention is paid to factors such as soil composition and structure, and the orientation and sun exposure of the grape clusters.

Cherry red color with a garnet rim. Intense nose, mature but elegant and frank. The fruity and sweet aromas are mixed with the aromas of oak wood. Strawberry, chocolate, caramel, plums… The entrance is sweet and pleasant. The wine has good volume and good structure. It is fatty and with good intensity. The passage through the mouth is balanced, generous and long-lasting. The aromas of dried plum, thyme, cinnamon, rosemary and cocoa stand out, forming a balanced and unctuous combination. Murua Reserva is a fine wine that reflects the entire tradition of Rioja Alavesa. It is characterized by great versatility and is an essential reference among the greats of this land. In addition, it is the flagship of this winery firm.
