The history of Domaine Amiot dates back to 1920. Arsène and Flavie Amiot established a real vocation for wine in the family, which has been passed down to the 4th generation! In 1985, Guy Amiot breathed new life into the estate, enabling the family tradition to continue. Thanks to the family’s children taking over the running of the estate, the vines remain in family ownership, guaranteeing traditional viticulture free from any speculative logic. Planted for the most part between 1920 and 1930, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines produce naturally at modest yields. The care given to the vines, from pruning to harvesting, helps to bring out the full flavour of the terroir in each parcel.

Winemaking

This cuvée is produced from 2016 onwards to make up for (too) poor harvests, using grapes from the best plots in Santenay: Sous la Roche, Comme Dessus, etc. Clay-limestone soil. Vineyard area 0.33 ha, facing east. The vines are 45 years old.

Tasting notes

Fragrant bouquet with peach and subtle passion fruit aromas that are nicely entwined with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, quite focused and with appreciable tension, a fine saline note toward the finish.
