The Anne de Joyeuse cooperative is named after a well-known 16th-century figure, the Duke of Joyeuse, who was bestowed the lordship of Limoux by Henry III. <\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

About the wine<\/h3>\n

The name of the wine, Le Mignon, refers to the ties woven This cuv\u00e9e pays tribute to Anne de Joyeuse, a favorite of King Henry III, nicknamed \u00abLe Mignon\u00bb. This choice creates a bridge between the rich history of the Anne de Joyeuse winery and its resolutely dynamic spirit. The label, designed by Canadian artist Catherine Potvin, brings a quirky and lighthearted touch, perfectly reflecting the soul of this cuv\u00e9e and the winery\u2019s mindset between the Duke of Joyeuse (nicknamed Le Mignon) and King Henry III. <\/p>\n

Vineyards<\/h3>\n

The Pinot Noir plots, located in the Haute Vall\u00e9e de l\u2019Aude on clay-limestone soils, benefit from significant temperature variations, mainly due to the influence of the Pyrenean climate. The Gewurztraminer plots, on the other hand, are situated in the Mediterranean terroir, benefiting from a warm yet temperate climate with ambient humidity that promotes a rapid increase in sugar levels. <\/p>\n

Winemaking<\/h3>\n

Both grape varieties are harvested at night to preserve maximum freshness and are vinified together. This cuv\u00e9e is produced using direct pressing and cold settling, followed by traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks, allowing it to retain the full aromatic expression and distinctive characteristics of each grape variety. <\/p>\n

The perfect harmony of Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer creates an explosive bouquet of fresh red fruits, with notes of rose and lychee, and a refreshing liveliness.<\/p>\n
