Manzone Giovanni winery was founded in 1925 in Monforte d\u2019Alba, at the heart of Piedmont. For five generations, the family has cultivated the same vineyards, preserving the traditional style of Barolo and Langhe wines. The estate grows Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and the rare Rossese Bianco grape. Vineyards such as Castelletto, Gramolere, and Bricat lie within the UNESCO World Heritage Barolo hills, where sustainable and manual viticulture is practiced. The wines are recognized worldwide for their elegance, balance, and extraordinary longevity. \u201cFive generations of winemakers, the same lands for over a century.” <\/p>\n

About the wine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

An elegant and deep red wine of great structure, made from Nebbiolo grapes handled and vinified by Manzone Giovanni, in Langhe land. The grapes come from a single vineyard, in the Gramolere mga, in Monforte d\u2019Alba. These old vines are more than 50 years old and the steep slope of the hill only allows manual processing. The exposure is south-southwest; the soil is calcareous and sandy, rich in stones and fossils. The manual harvest is made in mid\/late october to ensure the perfect ripening of the grapes. <\/p>\n

Winemaking<\/h3>\n

The natural fermentation with the skins lasts 30 to 40 days with soft pumping over to guarantee a delicate polyphenolic extraction. After 5 years of ageing in casks and a few months resting in steel tanks, the wine is bottled during waning moon. Barolo Riserva Gramolere is produced only in prestigious vintages and the small production of a few thousand bottles is sold about 7 years after the harvest. This wine makes for a prestigious gem. <\/p>\n

Tasting notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The colour is ruby red with deep garnet reflections. On the palate, it is vigorous and well-structured, with vanilla and tobacco blending harmoniously with sweet and powerful tannins. <\/p>\n

Food pairing<\/h3>\n

It pairs perfectly with truffle dishes, game, braised beef, and aged cheeses.<\/p>\n

STORAGE: Ensure the bottle is stored on its side, and protected from light and temperature variations. LIFESPAN: 15-20 years. <\/strong><\/p>\n
