The story of Guasti Clemente began in the post\u2011war years, when Clemente Guasti founded a winery in Nizza Monferrato, one of Piedmont\u2019s most important wine\u2011growing areas. He was an innovator, among the first to indicate vineyard origin on labels, introducing the idea of \u201ccru\u201d for his finest estate vineyards and creating the renowned Barbera delle Cascine Nicesi. In the 1950s, he introduced stainless\u2011steel autoclaves for producing sparkling wine using the Martinotti\u2013Charmat method. Over the years, the winery expanded its presence both in Italy and on international markets. Today, the third generation \u2014 Enrico Piantato \u2014 leads the estate with the same passion, actively developing the \u201cNizza\u201d project, which received official DOCG status in 2014. The family\u2019s wine heritage stretches even further back: in 1881, Secondo Guasti migrated to California, where he founded a town and planted the largest vineyard of his time. <\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n
