Ch\u00e2teau Moncontour is one of the oldest wine estates in the Loire Valley, dating back to the time of Saint Martin. Celebrated by Balzac as \u201cmy predilection,\u201d the estate has been lovingly preserved by the Feray family since 1994. Today, its 130 hectares of vineyards stretch across the Vouvray, Cr\u00e9mant de Loire and Touraine appellations, offering a breathtaking view over the Loire Valley. <\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Winemaking<\/h3>\n

Hand\u2011harvested grapes, traditional method (Champagne style). Slow pressing at low pressure, careful must selection during pressing. Fermentation in temperature\u2011controlled tanks (17\u201318\u202f\u00b0C) for three weeks. Rigorous blending of the finest cuv\u00e9es. Matured at least 36\u202fmonths on lees after the second bottle fermentation. <\/p>\n

Tasting notes<\/h3>\n

Pale yellow with green tints, very elegant and fresh nose. Harmonious palate with pleasant acidity and notes of green apple. Sharp, crisp, and clean sparkling wine with fine density and character. <\/p>\n

Food pairing<\/h3>\n
