Misty Cove is a bold and innovative Marlborough winery built on the desire to rethink what winemaking can be. Founded in 2008, the brand first flourished in Europe before returning to New Zealand, where it evolved into its distinctive, boundary\u2011pushing identity. Misty Cove blends centuries\u2011old winemaking wisdom with New Zealand\u2019s pioneering spirit, experimenting with unconventional varieties, unique blends, and creative techniques. With roots in the Marlborough Sounds and vineyards positioned across key regions of New Zealand, the winery crafts expressive wines enjoyed worldwide \u2014 wines defined by character, craftsmanship, and a playful, nonconformist soul <\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Misty Cove\u2019s Estate Pinot Gris is a playful creation from our vineyards nestled in the upper Wairau Valley. The stony, ancient riverbed soils work their magic, giving birth to a wine that\u2019s both floral and fleshy, perfectly capturing Marlborough\u2019s unique environment. <\/p>\n

Winemaking<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning. The juice was pressed and cool\u2011fermented in stainless steel tanks and acacia barriques, with periodic lees stirring during aging, before being fined, filtered, and bottled. <\/p>\n

Tasting notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bursting with charm and character, it opens with enticing aromas of ripe peach and baked pears, accented by hints of ginger. The palate is textural and juicy, with nashi pear, grapefruit, and a touch of honeysuckle, leading to a refreshing, lingering finish. <\/p>\n
