Misty Cove is a bold and innovative Marlborough winery built on the desire to rethink what winemaking can be. Founded in 2008, the brand first flourished in Europe before returning to New Zealand, where it evolved into its distinctive, boundary\u2011pushing identity. Misty Cove blends centuries\u2011old winemaking wisdom with New Zealand\u2019s pioneering spirit, experimenting with unconventional varieties, unique blends, and creative techniques. With roots in the Marlborough Sounds and vineyards positioned across key regions of New Zealand, the winery crafts expressive wines enjoyed worldwide \u2014 wines defined by character, craftsmanship, and a playful, nonconformist soul <\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

From the ancient riverbed soils of Marlborough\u2019s upper Wairau Valley comes a Pinot Noir that doesn\u2019t just talk the talk \u2014 it struts. Bold yet elegant, Misty Cove\u2019s Estate Pinot Noir channels the raw beauty of our region into something truly remarkable. We\u2019re incredibly proud of this wine. <\/p>\n

Winemaking<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The fruit was hand-picked at optimal ripeness. Each parcel was fermented in small open-top fermenters and hand-plunged up to three times daily to ensure full tannin and colour extraction. The wine was gently pressed and aged in oak barriques for ten months, enhancing structure and complexity, before being bottled in early summer. The result is a Pinot Noir of remarkable balance, intensity, and elegance. <\/p>\n

Tasting notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bright, juicy, and utterly delicious. Expect ripe cherries, strawberries, and a whisper of plum, wrapped in silky tannins and just enough oak to keep things intriguing. Pinot with personality: fresh, juicy, and unapologetically Marlborough. <\/p>\n
