The origin of all things. The soul of the company. Barbadillo is the south and the sea. It is Cádiz and it is the west wind. It is Sanlúcar and it is tradition. It’s a century-old winery, and it’s the future. Its history dates back to 1821. to the year when manzanilla began to be produced. Since then, Barbadillo has not stopped developing, always looking for wines that surprise and leave their mark.
About the wine
Quadis, the ancient name of Cádiz, lends its name to this red wine, as Andalusian as the land where it was born. It pays tribute to one of the region’s most historic enclaves, creating a wine that shares its name and its grandeur.
Made from selected red grapes, it seduces with its dark ruby colour and aromas of toasted wood, vanilla, and black fruits. On the palate it is soft, silky, and long‑lasting.
Bodegas Barbadillo has been a pioneer in producing red wines in southern Spain. By reviving the nearly extinct native variety Tintilla de Rota, Barbadillo has dedicated its expertise and passion to proving that Andalusian reds have much to say. Quadis, crafted from six red grape varieties and marked by the character of our albariza soils, is a smooth yet persistent wine that will not leave you indifferent.
