Located in the heart of the Burgundian Golden Triangle (Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault), Chartron et Trébuchet is today recognised for the very high quality of its white wines, including 5 Grands Crus, and is remembered by connoisseurs as the creator of the greatest Puligny-Montrachet wines, symbols of the House.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby color. The palate is round, full-bodied, excellently structured, with a velvety texture, a fruity-balsamic profile and fine-grained tannins in a persistent finish. Complex, rich, generous aroma reveals in the glass with hints of ripe dark fruits, undergrowth, spices, tobacco, cedar, oak, herbs and black pepper.
Food pairing
The wine is excellent in its pure form. It tastes best in combination with various cheeses, wild game meats such as deer and wild boar, served with mushroom or berry sauce, and grilled meats.
