Pays d’Hérault IGP |
Eraus is a white wine produced by Moulin de Gassac, part of the renowned Mas de Daumas Gassac estate in the Languedoc region of southern France. Classified under the IGP Pays d’Hérault designation, this wine embodies the unique characteristics of its Mediterranean terroir.
🍇 Grape Varieties & Terroir
Eraus is crafted from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Rolle (also known as Vermentino). The grapes are sourced from vineyards situated on clay-limestone soils rich in quartz gravel, located on sloping plateaus near the Thau Lagoon. The Mediterranean climate, characterized by low rainfall and high temperatures, provides ideal conditions for grape maturation, allowing the varietals to express their full aromatic potential.
🛠️ Vinification & Maturation
The winemaking process involves 100% de-stemming, followed by a slow maceration with skin contact for 10 to 12 hours in refrigerated tanks. Fermentation occurs under controlled temperatures to preserve the wine’s freshness and aromatic complexity. Subsequently, the wine is matured for 4 to 5 months in stainless steel tanks, which helps maintain its youthful character and vibrant profile.

🕰️ Serving & Cellaring
