The origin of all things. The soul of the company. Barbadillo is the south and the sea. It is Cádiz and it is the west wind. It is Sanlúcar and it is tradition. It’s a century-old winery, and it’s the future. Its history dates back to 1821. to the year when manzanilla began to be produced. Since then, Barbadillo has not stopped developing, always looking for wines that surprise and leave their mark.
About the wine
100% Verdejo. A pale Verdejo with fresh aromas of fruit and flowers. On the palate it is broad and balanced, with lively acidity and a clean finish. A wine that accompanies beautifully. As subtle as it is unforgettable.
Tasting notes
The most delicious mosto flor, obtained from a careful selection of Verdejo grapes, forms the base of our aromatic wines. The pulp and skins remain in contact, undergoing cold maceration for about 8 hours, which gives the wine its distinctive fruitiness and floral notes. After maceration and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 17°C in stainless steel tanks to preserve and enhance the delicate aromas typical of this variety.
Food pairing
Pale straw-yellow in colour, clean and bright. Intense on the nose, with fresh fruit such as peach, pear, green apple, citrus, grapefruit, and floral background notes of hawthorn and lilac. On the palate it is broad and well-structured, with balanced acidity and an explosion of fruit. A very slight bitterness on the finish, typical of the variety, and a long persistence of fresh fruit. Best enjoyed at 7–10°C. Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany food, served in a wine glass.
