The family estate, purchased in 1928 by Charles Mallet, was inherited by his granddaughter Michelle, who, together with her husband René Mazeau, successfully developed the vineyard until his retirement in 1985. The estate was then passed to their four sons, marking the creation of Vignobles Laurent Mazeau‑Bergström. The property expanded from 48 to over 100 hectares, added new vineyards and a modern winery, and implemented high‑level quality standards such as HACCP and the Reasoned Agriculture certification, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable and high‑quality winemaking.

Tasting notes

Château Vieil Orme has a beautiful red garnet color, a delicate nose with black fruit aromas and is very velvety and pleasant on the palate.

Food pairings

The wine is ideal when served with white and red meat and light cheeses. The most original is when served with a fish like “Alose” at a temperature of 15 °.
