Earl Burnereau Thierry is a family‑run estate (EARL is a French legal form for family agricultural enterprises). Winemaker Thierry Burnereau manages the property personally. Wines like this are often described as “farm‑style” or “château‑style” in the best sense: they reflect the character of a specific terroir and are produced with respect for tradition, without industrial mass‑production methods.
This is a classic dry red wine from France’s most famous winemaking region — Bordeaux. The 2022 vintage is considered highly successful thanks to the hot summer, which gave the wines richness and ripeness.
Tasting notes
Color: Deep ruby or garnet with violet reflections
Aroma: Bright notes of ripe red and black berries (cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry), light spicy nuances, and occasionally hints of underbrush or herbs
Palate: Round and balanced, with soft, velvety tannins and pleasant freshness. The finish may reveal plum notes and a touch of licorice.
Food pairings
Wine pairs beautifully with classic European cuisine:
Meat: Roast beef, steaks, lamb, duck
Starters: Jamón, salami, charcuterie
Cheese: Hard and semi‑hard cheeses (Gouda, Cheddar)
Serving temperature: 16–18°C
It is ready to drink now, but thanks to the excellent 2022 vintage, it can easily age for another 3–5 years, becoming even softer and more harmonious over time.
