Aradon was a city that existed from Roman times and mysteriously disappeared. It was located at an altitude of 550 m on the plateau known as ‘La Mesa’, which is now home to vineyards up to 90 years old that belong to a winery. Today and since 1957. Since 2003, in the town of Alcanadre, 36 km east of Logroño, Alcanadre’s winegrowers have wished to pay homage to Aradon by giving its name to their wines, which are made from very old vineyards, some of which are over a hundred years old. which they nurture with care and through the knowledge they have acquired over centuries and passed down from generation to generation.

Production Process

Made from grapes harvested from three micro-plots of vines shaped by time. These are grown on poor soils on slopes, with yields under 2000 kg per hectare. Harvested in 18 kg batches and fermented in 225-liter barrels of extra-fine French oak, where malolactic fermentation takes place along with regular bâtonnage to keep the wine in contact with its lees.

Tasting Notes

Have you heard of nectar derived from old vines; battered and cracked over time? Coordenadas is a handcrafted wine; a delicacy consisting of only 2200 bottles, showcasing the generosity of the ages. A symphony of aromas swirls around the glass: from wild dark fruits to subtle smoky nuances, floral notes, and mineral tones. Moving to the palate, we discover the complexity of Tempranillo; ripe, personal, and special from start to finish.
Serving temperature: 16° — 18°C.
