The story of Guasti Clemente began in the post‑war years, when Clemente Guasti founded a winery in Nizza Monferrato, one of Piedmont’s most important wine‑growing areas. He was an innovator, among the first to indicate vineyard origin on labels, introducing the idea of “cru” for his finest estate vineyards and creating the renowned Barbera delle Cascine Nicesi. 1950. In the 1950s he adopted stainless‑steel autoclaves for Martinotti–Charmat sparkling wine production, a pioneering step for the region. Over the decades the winery expanded both nationally and internationally. Today, the third generation — Enrico Piantato — continues Clemente’s vision, strongly supporting the “Nizza” project, which became an official DOCG in 2014. The family’s wine heritage stretches even further back: in 1881 Secondo Guasti emigrated to California, where he founded a city and planted what became the world’s largest vineyard of its time.

Guasti Clemente Barolo Comune di La Morra DOCG 2020 is an elegant, aromatic Barolo from La Morra, a commune known for its softer, more floral expression of Nebbiolo.
