Tannat

Deep in the southwest of France, roughly halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse, lies the famous Armagnac region. At its very heart stretches an estate of 300 hectares, home to the beautiful 13th‑century Château de Gensac. Grapes have been grown here for more than 600 years.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand. Only the finest fruit from the oldest and most precious Tannat vines in the cellar makes its way into this bottle. Before bottling, the wine is aged for 36 months in barriques, allowing it to develop its full glory and complexity.

Tasting notes

Its deep ruby colour reflects all the intensity and grandeur of this remarkable wine — a true rarity!
