Teanum was established in 2000 in San Severo, the hometown of its founders, Domenico Demaio and Vincenzo de Matteo, as well as the first Apulian town to obtain the PDO designation, in 1968. Today Teanum has another winery in San Paolo di Civitate and boasts a production of 1.5 million bottles per year, sold in Italy and in some 30 countries worldwide.
Winemaking
20 days of prolonged maceration in steel containers. Aging In French wood for 6 months, in steel containers for 1 year, and finally refinement in the bottle.
Tasting notes
Bright red with good consistency, elegant aromas of ripe fruit and plum and fig jam, spicy and floral. The palate is warm, intense and structured with soft and elegant tannins.
Food pairing
Ideal with grilled roasts.
