Teanum was established in 2000 in San Severo, the hometown of its founders, Domenico Demaio and Vincenzo de Matteo, as well as the first Apulian town to obtain the PDO designation, in 1968. Today Teanum has another winery in San Paolo di Civitate and boasts a production of 1.5 million bottles per year, sold in Italy and in some 30 countries worldwide.

Winemaking

Maceration of the grapes for 24 hours at 7°C, soft pressing of the skins and cold settling of the must. Fermentation is slow and constant and it is carried out at a temperature of 16-18°C. Aging sur lie for 4 months and bottle aging for 1 month.

Tasting notes

On the nose, complex ripe and fresh red fruit (cherry and black cherry), with citrus and floral notes. On the palate is fresh, mineral and savory, supported by good acidity. Soft finish.

Food pairing

Pairs perfectly with salmon carpaccio and white meats. Serve at 8-9° C to enhance the fruity taste.
