Moillard, historically based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte de Nuits, offers Domaine wines (Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune) and a traditional signature of Burgundy wines. The old documents of Nuits-Saint-Georges attest that the Moillard family already owned vineyards before the French Revolution. But the Winery saw a real boom in 1850, when Symphorien Moillard bought his first wines to satisfy an order too important for his own Domain, thus initiating his activity of wine trading. Since then, Moillard has carried out the meticulous job of wine making and aging to bring all their wines to their full potential.
Mâcon-Charnay wines are refreshing white wines with a delightful balance. Expect aromas of acacia flowers and sometimes mango, alongside flavors of white fruits, a touch of minerality, and a lively acidity. While mostly unoaked, some producers use oak to add subtle creaminess, resulting in wines that pair well with seafood, poultry, and cheese. These balanced wines can even age for 5-6 years, gaining complexity over time.
