The family tradition of the Thanisch winery dates back to 1648. In 2001, the son Jörg took over the family business and has successfully continued its operation. The vineyard property stretches across the best steep slopes of the Middle Mosel. The result is finely fruity, delicate Riesling wines with a juicy body and great potential.

Tasting notes

The wine presents itself in a delicate yellow colour with green reflections. The fresh, lively nose reveals ripe citrus fruit and mineral notes. On the palate, aromas of ripe, juicy pears and honey melon emerge. The Riesling has a beautiful juiciness, with pleasant acidity and a long finish. A top-class wine for casual drinking.
