The Anne de Joyeuse cooperative is named after a well-known 16th-century figure, the Duke of Joyeuse, who was bestowed the lordship of Limoux by Henry III.

About the wine

“Les Parcelles” offers a panorama of our finest terroirs around Limoux and their grape varieties. This cuvée is the result of parcel selections from the slopes of the Upper Aude Valley. Born on the heights of Roquetaillade, the wine captures the essence of our high‑altitude vineyard, with the majestic Pyrenees as its backdrop.

Vineyards

Our organically farmed plots lie on clay‑limestone soils in the high‑altitude terroir of the Haute Vallée de l’Aude at 300 m elevation.

Winemaking

Fermentation takes place in open vats with regular pigeage to encourage maceration and limit oxidation. The wine then undergoes a light ageing in 600‑L demi‑muids for 4 months.

Tasting notes

Bright red with ruby reflections. The nose shows smoky notes and fresh red fruits. The palate is silky and complex — an approach worthy of great terroir‑driven Pinot Noir.

Food pairing

A platter of Iberian charcuterie, roasted duck, or a beef fillet Rossini are ideal companions. Its freshness and subtle smokiness also pair beautifully with a cheese board. Extend the pleasure with a square of dark chocolate.
