Château Beau‑Site stretches gently down toward the Gironde. From the cellars and the terrace, one enjoys a remarkable view over the vineyard, its immediate neighbour Château Calon‑Ségur, and the estuary. It is one of the oldest estates in the renowned commune of Saint‑Estèphe.
In recent years, Château Beau‑Site has benefited from major investments, including the complete renovation of the château and the creation of a stainless‑steel vat room adapted to the parcel structure. Today, the estate also benefits from the expertise of the Borie‑Castéja teams of the Médoc, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. The precision and high quality of the wines in recent vintages have been unanimously praised.
Its name reflects its exceptional location on the banks of the Gironde, fully south‑facing, on the slope opposite Château Calon‑Ségur. On its stony hillsides grow vines whose old stocks have been carefully preserved, producing wines that are refined, complete, and elegant—comparable to those of its illustrious neighbour.
Winemaking
4‑week vinification. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (around 40% new).
Tasting notes
The wine shows a bright colour. The nose evokes fresh fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, and also liquorice. The attack is soft, and the tannic structure develops with smoothness and density. With good persistence, it retains elegance without any rusticity on the finish.
Food pairings
Ideal with red and white meats, roasts, lamb, poultry, and game birds.
