Ca’ de Lion Alta Langa DOCG 2018 12.5% vol.

31.95

Grape varieties:
70% Pinot Nero and 30% Chardonnay

Ca’ de Lion was founded in 1871 by Luigi Ghione, who was inspired by his farthest ancestor, Leone Ghione (1655), from whom the winery took its name. From then, five generations are gone and the winery takes care of its history, affairs and evolutions of technique. Last 50 years are the consolidations of company development and awareness: Ca’ de Lion produces and vinifies all its wines with last technologies about bottling and product processing. But it’s Tradition the key word for this company reality: respect for territory grapes, respect for traditional wine making practices, respect for their roots and for the time’s lessons.

Winemaking

To continue the ancient and always new union between bubbles and Piedmont. Grape harvest around the fourth week of August, soft pressing and fermentation of the must. In March of the year following the harvest, refermentation of the base wine and aging for 36 months on the yeasts. Subsequent disgorgement and addition of the liqueur d’expedition.
