For the last 50 years, the Prulho name has been associated with the best distillation equipment in the business. These include the US, China, Bolivia, Italy, Japan and South Africa. This very specific know-how and experience in distillation procedures is applied to Cognac Prulho – and under the company’s label, there is a full range of cognacs.

Prulho XO Borderies N°8 Cognac

Prulho Cognac No. 8 is a limited edition; award-winning cognac made up exclusively of eaux-de-vie from the smallest production area in the cognac region, known as the Borderies. Named as cognac number 8 – the number 8 forms an infinite circle, indicating long life and prosperity.

Second-generation owner Robert Prulho and his son Richard have dedicated their lives to excellent cognac. Their hard work has undoubtedly paid off, with numerous awards including gold medals at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the Citadelles du Vin. They will undoubtedly benefit from their in-depth knowledge of distillation equipment – they come from a family of distillation equipment makers whose copper stills are used by cognac producers across the region.

Thanks to generations of accumulated knowledge about the importance of perfect distillation, maturation and flawless blending, the Prulho family is sure to continue thriving.

Bottle design

The design is dressed in a supremely elegant carafe; the design features a luxurious golden cap and a semi-circular shape with a flat bottom. On the front of the bottle is stamped the symbolic number 8, representing what this fine cognac represents: long life and prosperity. This rich blend will appeal to collectors and lovers of limited edition XO-quality cognacs.

How to enjoy

The Prulho house recommends drinking this cognac in its purest form – neat at room temperature. Pour into a tulip glass to ensure that the arrival or aromas are evenly distributed with delicate precision. To take the taste to another dimension, combine it with XO’s rich and velvety chocolate ganache.

Tasting notes

The colour of the cognac in the glass is a deep golden copper, the mahogany is reflective. In the aroma, a rich concentration of heather floral scents, roasted nuts, sweet apples and plums. On the palate, there are notes of candied fruit, orange peel, ripe plums, coffee and dark chocolate. This powerful, smooth and well-structured cognac ensures a long finish.
