For the last 50 years, the Prulho name has been associated with the best distillation equipment in the business. Their expertise in providing the machinery and know-how for a complete distillation process sees their distilleries not only in the cognac, armagnac and calvados regions of France, but also in countries all over the world. These include the US, China, Bolivia, Italy, Japan and South Africa. This very specific know-how and experience in distillation procedures is applied to Cognac Prulho – and under the company’s label, there is a full range of cognacs.
Prulho Hors D´Age Cognac
Prulho Voyage Hors d’Age is a unique creation of elements chosen for their rarity and originality. The bottle has a shape and a neck that resemble the towel used by cellar masters to take samples. An aged wooden wrapper made in the spirit of the Vaadi reveals the colour of the cognac from two of the best terroirs: the Grande and the Petite Champagne, through the lush, subtle scents.
Hors D´Age Cognac
Hors d’ Age means “over age” and is the age category that describes the highest quality cognac – in terms of age. Officially it is classified in the XO age category, but it is used for cognacs with an average age of 30 years or more. Hors d’Age blends can be 30, 40, 50, even up to 100 years old. Hors d’Age cognac is one of the oldest cognacs you can get, along with your ancestors or perhaps Très Vieille Réserve.
There is also Vintage Cognac, which can be as old as Hors d’Age, but the difference is that Vintage is a single harvest cognac, not a blend.
