Cognac Leopold Gourmel Age des Epices 20 Carats Tres Vieux is a great souvenir option for collectors of alcoholic minimalism. The drink is made from selected grapes grown under the name Fin Bois. The berries were picked from old vines whose roots reach a depth of 20-30 meters. A full-bodied dry wine was made from the fruits, which was aged on the lees, after which it was distilled. The spirit was aged in French barrels made of hundred-year-old fine-grained oak wood. After mixing, the cognac was bottled without cold filtration. The manufacturer prefers to produce authentic variations of alcohol, so the drink does not contain dyes or flavorings. The name of the variety translates to “Age of Spice”, which fully reflects the richly spicy profile of the blend.

Tasting notes

The color is mahogany with an amber shade. The aroma is voluminous, enveloping, with deep motifs of hot and spicy spices. The taste has an expressive structure and a rich aftertaste filled with hints of ginger, cloves and pepper. Serving temperature: 20-22 °C.

Food pairing

A fine digestif that deserves to be tasted alone or on the rocks, it can be combined with gourmet snacks, chocolate, coffee or a cigar.
