Cognac Leopold Gourmel Age Des Fleurs 15 Carats in a 0.7 l bottle is a great gift for any lover of things. The elite drink in a cardboard gift box was released in a limited edition. To create it, white varieties were used from the plantations of the Fins Bois appellation, one of the most prestigious in the province of Cognac. The spirit drink was produced from the 2005 harvest. The grape must was distilled together with the yeast sediment, which made it possible to achieve a denser and oilier consistency. A specific distillation technique was used, which separates into fractions of higher and lower strength. They are aged separately and then mixed in a certain ratio, so that in the end the cognac reaches a strength of 42% and does not need to be diluted with water. The spirit is aged in charred fine-grained oak barrels. The aging period is at least 15 years (each year is equal to a carat, hence the designation 15 carats). Before bottling, cognac is not subjected to cold filtration, which allows maximum preservation of the original taste and aromatic properties.

Tasting notes

Reddish amber in color with golden tones. The aroma is refined, soft, with intertwining shades of flowers (linden, jasmine, white rose, lily) and vanilla. On the palate, velvety, harmonious, deep, with hints of honeysuckle, dried fruit, wood, dessert spices, with a long, addictive finish. Serving temperature: 20-22 degrees.

Food pairing

Can be served as a digestif or as an alcoholic accompaniment to steaks, game and various meat dishes.
