The warm marcs of our Amarone Classico were immediately sent to the grape spirit distilleries to be distilled according to an ancient process called discontinuous double boiler alembic, a simple device which enhances the characteristics of the raw materials. The distillation was execute with patience, care and knowledge. The Grappa di Amarone just made, has an elegant aroma and the typical mettlesome character has well hidden by a very good taste. To improve further the quality we decided to let it rest for about 6 months.
Tasting notes
Amarone’s Grappa aged in acacia wood, soft, persitsent aftertaste and unmistakable aroma. Spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, liquorice, cocoa and tabacco. Best served in small tulip glasses at a temperature of 16-17°C.
Food pairing
Grappa can of course be tasted alone at the end of meal or can be paired with dark chocolate.
