Fondo Antico is a family‑run winery in the Trapani area, built on deep respect for Sicilian land and the century‑long winemaking heritage of the Polizzotti‑Scuderi family. Across 80 hectares of vineyards in Contrada Portelli, tradition blends with innovation, resulting in wines that capture the strength, generosity and distinctive character of Sicily.

“Per te” is a wine dedicated to Sicily and its viticultural heritage, of which Perricone is a longstanding expression — once nearly abandoned, now joyfully rediscovered. Its synonym Pignatello refers to the traditional craft of making cooking pots (“pignatte”) from the red, iron‑ and aluminium‑rich soil of Marsala. It is a pleasure to have it with us, with its Mediterranean aromas and enveloping body.

A glass of Perricone can accompany us at any moment. With aromas ranging from berries to smoky, slightly wild notes, it pairs beautifully with game, all types of meat, and evokes the scents of Mediterranean cuisine, where vegetables meet oily fish. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
