About the Hesketh family.

In 2006 Jonathan and Trish established the Hesketh Wine Company to produce wines that reflect the family’s history. Winemaking

Our Great Australian Red proudly shows that the sum of it’s parts is far greater than the individual components. This wine is comprised of fruit from immaculate vineyards, located in the very best sub-regions, from an outstanding vintage, made by some of Australia’s greatest winemaking talent, with the finest oak and small batch facilities at their disposal.

Coonawarra & McLaren Vale – If you were to choose where to grow these varieties in South Australia, then you would look no further than Penola in Southern Coonawarra for Cabernet. Or Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale for Shiraz.

Tasting notes

Stylish and complex, the wine shows blackcurrant, dark plum, toasty oak, vanilla and cake spice aromas on the nose, followed by a silky-smooth palate offering supple texture and beautifully melded tannins. Wonderfully harmonious with finesse as well as generosity. Made from grapes grown in Coonawarra and McLaren Vale.
