Wine runs in the veins of the Reverdy family. For four generations, the family has been inspired by the same values: a hereditary attachment to the Loire Valley, an instinctive passion for the terroirs and an innate respect for people and work. Passion, integrity and accuracy are the key words that drive the members of the estate. Today, Jean-Marie Reverdy, guided by his vocation, makes the estate prosper with his wife Catherine and his two sons, Guillaume and Baptiste. The cellars are located in the middle of the vineyards. This unique situation offers a breathtaking view of the famous Sancerre hill and its vineyards. The Centre Loire is a tourist region renowned for its wines and appreciated for its attractive landscapes.

Terroir

An emblem of the Loire Valley, Pinot Noir is a variety that thrives in temperate regions. When planted in clay-limestone soil, it is characterised by a wonderful balance between fruit, smoothness and aromatic power.
The vines, now about 30 years old, are rooted in clay-limestone and ferruginous soils.

Winemaking

After a meticulous sorting process, the harvested grapes are placed directly into vats, where they undergo a few days of cold maceration. During fermentation, we carry out pump-overs to extract colour and the finest tannins – a technique that results in a well-structured, concentrated wine. The grapes are then pressed, and the wine is transferred to vats, with 10% going into barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation. Clarification takes place after 12 months of ageing.

Tasting notes

This wine reveals an intense, complex nose and a fleshy palate with soft tannins. Well-balanced and concentrated, it shows real character with lingering notes of dark fruit.

Food pairing

Pairing food with the right wine is important. A successful pairing can transform a meal into a moment of true pleasure and conviviality. Served between 12 and 14°C, this dynamic and flavourful wine makes an ideal pairing with fish, grilled meats (BBQ), charcuterie or cheese.
Well-balanced, with aromas that linger on the palate, this wine will be appreciated by connoisseurs and novices alike, served as an aperitif or paired with poultry in a sauce or salmon carpaccio.
