Teanum was established in 2000 in San Severo, the hometown of its founders, Domenico Demaio and Vincenzo de Matteo, as well as the first Apulian town to obtain the PDO designation, in 1968. Today Teanum has another winery in San Paolo di Civitate and boasts a production of 1.5 million bottles per year, sold in Italy and in some 30 countries worldwide.
Winemaking
25 days of prolonged maceration in steel containers. Aging in French wood, in steel containers, bottle aging.
Tasting notes
Bright red with good consistency, elegant aromas of fruit and jam that we find on the palate in good company of soft and elegant tannins.
Food pairing
Grilled roasts and Apulian torcinelli are the recommended pairings.
