About the wine

Pañofino is a single-vineyard wine named after the winery’s oldest plot, made exclusively from grapes grown there. The vineyard was planted in 1942 and was among the first to be established in the region after the Spanish Civil War.

The old vines have larger, well-established trunks and deep root systems that retain nutrients more effectively and cope better with irregular water supply. These older vines produce fewer grapes with smaller seeds, resulting in a higher concentration of flavour derived from the skins.

Pañofino is a deep and concentrated wine with a distinctly high intensity on both the nose and palate. It offers a blend of ripe black fruits with mineral and spicy notes. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, the wine shows a clear and well-balanced oak presence.
