Moillard, historically based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the Côte de Nuits, offers Domaine wines (Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune) and a traditional signature of Burgundy wines. The old documents of Nuits-Saint-Georges attest that the Moillard family already owned vineyards before the French Revolution. But the Winery saw a real boom in 1850, when Symphorien Moillard bought his first wines to satisfy an order too important for his own Domain, thus initiating his activity of wine trading. Since then, Moillard has carried out the meticulous job of wine making and aging to bring all their wines to their full potential.
Tasting notes
A cherry-red colour with purplish highlights. A flattering nose with aromas of blackcurrant and cherry. On the palate, the wine is generous and full-bodied, with silky, coating tannins. This wine is a pleasure to drink and a pleasant way to approach Burgundy wines.
Food pairing
Perfect with grilled meats, delicate white meats (rabbit, poultry, etc.), meats in sauce (coq au vin, blanquette d’agneau, beef stroganoff, etc.), terrines, charcuterie, goat’s cheeses and soft cheeses such as Camembert, Brie, etc.
