The story of Canard‑DuchĂȘne unfolds as a tribute to an enduring legacy shaped by an unbreakable bond and a profound respect for the land. For more than 150 years, the House has remained faithful to the values established by its founders: harmony with nature, long‑lasting partnerships, and unwavering authenticity. When winemaker LĂ©onie DuchĂȘne and barrel‑maker Victor Canard united their expertise, they sought to craft Champagne that would embody the distinctive character of the Montagne de Reims — the land they cherished. Their passion, dedication, and belief in their craft laid the foundation for a style that continues to define Canard‑DuchĂȘne today. The House carries this heritage forward, revealing the richness of its terroir and creating Champagnes that celebrate elegance, freshness, and a deep respect for tradition.

“P181 Organic Champagne is a unique wine and a true ode to nature. It is the result of a collaboration with several of our partner winegrowers who, since the early 2000s, have shared our desire to contribute to change and make a long‑term commitment to sustainability.” — Cynthia Fossier, Cellar Master.

ORGANIC CHAMPAGNE Organic Champagne is crafted using environmentally responsible methods and strict organic farming standards. Unlike conventional Champagne, it comes from grapes grown without synthetic chemicals, helping preserve biodiversity and soil health.

What is Organic Champagne? To qualify as organic, Champagne must meet several criteria:
‱ No synthetic chemicals
‱ Protection of natural vineyard cycles
‱ Certification by an accredited body (e.g., Ecocert)

What makes Organic Champagne special? ‱ Purity and natural expression of the terroir
‱ Reduced environmental impact
‱ An ethical and conscious choice

P181 CuvĂ©e — Canard‑DuchĂȘne’s commitment A pioneer in organic winemaking, Canard‑DuchĂȘne launched its first organic cuvĂ©e in 2009. P181 comes from the certified ZE 181 plot in Verneuil, symbolizing the Maison’s deep connection to nature.

Why choose Organic Champagne? It reflects harmony with nature, sustainable viticulture, and a purer aromatic profile.

Can Organic Champagne be aged? Generally ready to enjoy upon release, it can be aged for 2–3 years (sometimes up to 5) if stored away from light at 10–15°C.
