“Character” is the password of Bruno Fina and his family. Fina’s wines are the result of a land that is loved and fought for, they have the taste of the passion and of that grapes that have been wisely turned into wine, thanks to the dedication of the work in the vineyard. They have the familiar warmth and the experience of who has always done wine and has always know how to narrate it. This is how you transmit the hereditary character of the territory and the harmony of the men that search for excellence on a daily basis.

Winemaking

It is one of the so-called ‘international’ red grape varieties. Today, this vine, which is widespread throughout the world, is cultivated in many regions of Italy. Sicily has probably been able to best interpret the Syrah vine, of which it is today, in terms of quality, one of the world’s best. Breeding in counter-espalier, with Guyot pruning. 350 metres above sea level, with a density of 5000 plants per hectare. Yield of 80 quintals per hectare. Harvest at the end of August. Fermentation in steel, ageing in steel, twelve months in barrique.

Tasting notes

Its aroma leads us to imagine forest fruits (blackberries) and violet flowers. The colour is one of its main virtues; it is intense and deep, a red with shades tending towards dark purple. On the palate, the flavour is that of a robust, well-structured wine; its aroma is intense and fruity with hints of small black fruits and spices, in particular black pepper. It has a good structure and persistence, is soft and quite fresh with medium tannicity.Recommended serving temperature: 16°C — 20°C

Food pairing

Mature cheeses and meat, with pasta with tomato sauce it is perfect, excellent with game meat such as venison or wild boar and all baked red meat in general, as well as with meat stews. We can say that medium strong flavours and Syrah are luxurious allies.
