Château Beauregard Ducasse is located in the Graves appellation. With an altitude of 112 metres, this vineyard is one of the highest in the appellation. It has been owned by the same family since 1850. Today, the sixth generation of winegrowers is represented by Jacques and Marie-Laure Perromat.
Winemaking
Sandy-gravelly soil on a deep clay-limestone subsoil. Area of the vineyard is 10 ha, average age of the vineyard is 25 years. A density of 8000 vines/ha with an average yield of 45 hl/ha. Fermentation and vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Vatting time is between 15 and 21 days. Aged in oak barrels, 25% of which are renewed every year. Bottled at the Château.
Tasting notes
Firm and rich structure. Fine and elegant aromas of leather and prunes melted in a touch of new wood, make this wine complex and deep. A wine with the distinct and typical Graves character.
