Domaine d’Orfeuilles is a historic estate founded in 1947 on the former grounds of a medieval château. Today, Bernard and Arnaud Herivault manage the 23‑hectare vineyard, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision. Their Chenin Blanc vines grow on south‑facing slopes of clay, limestone, and flinty soils—ideal conditions for producing expressive Vouvray wines. Committed to organic and biodynamic farming, the estate focuses on preserving soil vitality and crafting wines that showcase purity, elegance, and the authentic character of the terroir.
Winemaking
BRUT SPARKLING VOUVRAY Chorus Bulla or “Chorus of Bubbles” is produced using the Traditional Method. After the first alcoholic fermentation in temperature‑controlled tanks, the base wines undergo a second fermentation in the bottle, followed by 3 years of aging. Before the sparkling process, the base wines are blended with reserve wines from previous vintages (80% from 2022, 15% from 2021, and 5% from 2020). After a minimum of 36 months of aging, the bottles are riddled and disgorged, with a small dosage added when necessary.
Tasting notes
Bright light yellow with subtle silvery reflections, accompanied by fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is expressive with brioche, marshmallow, and vanilla notes. On the palate, it shows freshness and a touch of liveliness that softens quickly.
Serving temperature: 7–8°C. Aging potential: 1–2 years after disgorgement.
