Domaines Montariol Degroote, known as DMD, has been expanding since 1999 through a series of acquisitions of Châteaux and vineyards in the Languedoc region, dating back to the initial purchase of Domaines Lalande and Galétis in the Cabardès region, the former holiday resort of Pierre Riquet (architect of the Canal du Midi). Drawing on their respective experience, Pierre Degroote and Stéphan Montariol, who are deeply attached to their land and respect for the environment, do their utmost to extract the very best wines from their terroirs, so that we can enjoy wines of the very highest quality.

Winemaking

Clay-limestone soil. Machine harvested at night. Carbonic maceration (saturation of the vat with CO2) to extract maximum fermentation aromas. Temperature-controlled fermentation for 3 weeks. Matured in stainless steel vats. Regular racking preserves maximum fruitiness and concentration.
