Cognac XO Prulho
Prulho Hydra XO Cognac is a gold medal-winning cognac aged for at least ten years. Prulho Hydra cognacs bring you a pleasant balance between aromatic richness and oaky delicacy. As a collection of three blissful offerings, the eldest XO reveals the special flavours of fruit candied in a subtle blend of floral and spicy nuances.
Second-generation owner Robert Prulho and his son Richard have dedicated their lives to excellent cognac. Their hard work has undoubtedly paid off, with numerous awards including gold medals at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and the Citadelles du Vin. They will undoubtedly benefit from their in-depth knowledge of distillation equipment – they come from a family of distillation equipment makers whose copper stills are used by cognac producers across the region.
Thanks to generations of accumulated knowledge about the importance of perfect distillation, maturation and flawless blending, the Prulho family is sure to continue thriving.
Bottle design
A uniquely shaped carafe – square with rounded smooth edges – Prulho’s House Hydra range presents a bold brand image that is sure to stand out from the other cognacs in the collection. On the front of the bottle, the brand’s logo is also prominent, as the lion’s head illustration beautifully shifts the details of the cognac product. Finished with white detailing on the neck of the bottle, it’s clear that Maison Prulho prides itself on presenting the brand in a contemporary way that differs from many of the classic bottle styles commonly seen in the cognac market.
How to enjoy
Prulho Cognac House recommends serving XO neat at room temperature and adding a drop of mineral water to the glass. This provides a unique experience that enhances the rich and fruity flavours of the cognac to their maximum potential. Such a well-aged cognac deserves your full attention when tasting – for a pleasant experience that will leave a lasting impression on your memories.
Tasting notes
Cognac colour with amber reflections in mahogany glass. Floral and spicy notes, aromas of candied fruit, apricot and plum. On the palate, there are clear notes of nuts, brioche and candied fruit that give the drink a roundness. A rich, complex and full-bodied cognac.
