About the Hesketh family.
«Three generations of our family have been involved in the wine industry for over sixty years, but an aversion to convention has always led us to follow ‘the path less travelled by’. In 2006 Jonathan and Trish established the Hesketh Wine Company to produce wines that reflect the family’s history. This translates to our wine being known for: Clarity: Regional typicity and clear varietal expression. Value: A level of sophistication beyond the selling prices. Quality is the overriding priority. Eat well, drink well, have fun»
Winemaking
Once considered a workhorse variety here in Australia, Grenache is now getting the recognition it deserves as an outstanding single variety, especially when made in the elegant and brighter dry red spectrum. The Barossa Valley is home to the oldest Grenache vines in the world. The warm climate and abundant sunshine create ideal growing conditions, culminating in varietal and regional wine.
Tasting notes
