Luca Menicucci’s company Menicucci 1689 is the success of a man who has always strongly believed in his territory. Tuscany, a wonderful land whose wines are loved the world over. In his wines, he describes a landscape that, in the simplicity of its grapes, captivates the tastes of the whole world.

Winemaking

Half by hand selection of grapes in the second half of september and the other half is dried on the plants till the end of october. The two parts are vinified separately with gentle pressing of the grapes. Maceration for 2 weeks in order to facilitate the extraction of color and other substances. Fermentation for the first part, the second half is added to the first and then they ferment together for the second time. Ageing in French oak barriques for 3 months.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red colour. Fine, elegant bouquet of red berries and delicate vanilla notes. A large body, soft and rich with good tannins and a long and deliciously spicy finish.
