Teanum was established in 2000 in San Severo, the hometown of its founders, Domenico Demaio and Vincenzo de Matteo, as well as the first Apulian town to obtain the PDO designation, in 1968. Today Teanum has another winery in San Paolo di Civitate and boasts a production of 1.5 million bottles per year, sold in Italy and in some 30 countries worldwide.
Winemaking
Manual harvest. 8 hours maceration of the must with its skins, soft pressing, fermentation in steel containers at a controlled temperature of 15°C. Maturation in steel containers, bottle ageing.
Tasting notes
Bright antique pink in colour with a broad bouquet of fresh and citrus aromas on the palate it is intense, fresh, soft and savoury. Serving temperature 8/9° C to emphasise the special fruity taste.
Food pairing
It should be enjoyed with salmon, trout, groupers and fish soups.
