Winemaking
Garonne gravel soil. Planting density of 6,600 vines/ha over an area of 5.30 ha. Average age of the vines 25 years. Monitoring of the vineyard (sustainable viticulture), control of maturity (taste, quantity, analysis of berries on each plot) and mechanical harvesting in grape production. Parcel selection and total destemming. Fermentation of the must in stainless steel vats, maintenance of fermentation temperatures around 26°C with 3 daily pumping overs. Long vatting. 1 to 3 rackings according to tasting. Fining with egg albumen with preliminary test. 100% aging in oak barrels for 18 months.
Tasting notes
A beautiful red color still marked by purple reflections. After a careful vinification, developing nice aromas of black fruits, a reasoned maturation in oak barrels brought finesse and complexity. The finesse of the tannins allows to appreciate this wine in its youth, while being able to keep it for a few years.
