This cognac house was founded by Pierre de Segonzac. Pierre came from a traditional bouilleur de cru (cognac maker who distils only his own harvest) family who settled in Segonzac, in the heart of the Grande Champagne growing region of Cognac (Cognac 1st Cru) from 1702. onwards. Pierre’s portrait is quite appropriately used as the company logo, but today Pierre’s grandson Pablo Ferrand runs the family vineyards at La Nérolle in Segonzac. The family still distils its own wine, ageing it with the same care and tradition as in the old days. Christian, Pablo’s father, is responsible for customer service and distribution – worldwide. Pierre would have been very proud to see the revival of his treasured brand and how it works today.

Cognac Rare Reserve Pierre De Segonzac

The silky interior gives a very smooth, sweet medium to full texture and a nice honey, marzipan and black tea like flavour that covers your mouth. Finishes with a long and delicious fruity and oak-driven fade. A very pleasant, easily accessible cognac.

Recommendations for use

This beautiful cognac, which we will serve as a long drink because of its quality, goes well with grilled almond macaroni and candied chestnut ice cream, French toast with salted caramel ice cream. Recommended by Union des Sommeliers de France
