Vega Real is the result of a harvest rated VERY GOOD by the Ribera del Duero Designation Regulatory Council. This is a very fruity wine, the main characteristic of a young red, with the addition of several months in new American oak barrels, which give this wine its characteristic complexity and smoothness. Very suitable for enjoyment without complications, with almost any food and environment. Bodega Vega Real belongs to the Barbadillo group, so behind this wine is all the technique and wisdom of this group of winemakers.

Winemaking

The grapes come from a selection of vineyards from a single estate, covering a total of 40 hectares, with 20-year-old vines grown at an altitude of 800-920 meters and hand-harvested. Aged 13 months in American and French oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Cherry red in color, with cherry, purple and light bluish tones. Ripe black fruits, light milky tones. Very good intensity. Aromas of vanilla, cocoa and smoke in the background. Very full in the mouth. Extremely sweet tannins. Ripe fruits, milk. Good balanced acidity. Cocoa, vanilla. Long lasting.

Food pairing

Its special taste goes perfectly with traditional stews, wood-roasted meat, salted Iberian meat, game and aged cheese.
